Another poppy study
It is just impossible to stop at only one study with poppies! Another small study, 7x5 inches.
Hi Joan, thank you for your kind words! I have used a mixture of paints for the red petals: gamboge for under-painting, vermilion as main body color, crimson lake for darker reds, and a touch of Prussian blue here and there to get the almost black reds.
This poppy painting and the one below are both gorgeous. I love your rich red color. What color did you use?
