Glass and fruits - small study

Trying to capture glass transparency and reflective properties in this small study. Based on a reference photo with the glass candle support, and with fruits added from imagination - thus reflections are not very realistic...

This small study is 5x7 inches. I must try on a larger size, and with a real life setup, to make sure shapes and reflections are correct.

  1. I think you did a good job on the reflections especially since the fruit wasn't there. Nice!!

  2. Hi Oty, You asked about the alcohol inks I used. You can google the brand - Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks and see if they sell them any place that you can order them from. The last order I did was through Etsy from one of their vendors. They also sell them on Amazon and in some art & craft stores. When I first started buying the inks I got them from a local store with a coupon, so I didn't pay full price. Usually they come three to a pack and run about $12 here. I don't know what merchants you can order from in your area. If you go to youtube you can find a lot of videos on how to use alcohol inks on tiles. That's how I learned.

    1. Thank you very much Joan! I will check on Amazon, usually it ships all items to Greece. Indeed, I had a look on youtube and there are many tutorials - it doesn't seem very difficult, so I must give it a try!
